I just ran across this at Powell.com. You can purchase a book pledge for $8.95, and suggest a book for the New Orleans library system. It's easy. Just add one (or two or three...) to your cart. I like it. I think it's a good idea. It feels concrete and tangible, and supports something very worthwhile that's most likely not at the top of the funding priorities right now.
