Things to do in San Diego while you're here for the convention.

If you'll be in San Diego for the California Democratic Convention April 27-29, here are a couple items that may be of interest to you.

Progressive Democrats of America will have a significant presence at the convention, and they're kicking off the weekend with a PDApalooza on Thursday, April 26 at 7:30 pm.

PDA San Diego is hosting, “Meeting the Historic Challenge: War, Peace and the 2007 California Democratic Party Convention”
With Medea Benjamin, CODE PINK and PDA Advisory Board member; Norman Solomon, author; Jeff Cohen, author, PDA Communications Consultant and Advisory Board Member; Tim Carpenter, PDA Executive Director; Steve Cobble, Associate Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies and PDA Board member; and Advisory Board Chair, actress, and author Mimi Kennedy at the Scottish Rite Center, 1895 Camino del Rio South in San Diego.

Personally, I'm bummed because overlaps with the MANDATORY volunteer orientation, and I'm volunteering at the convention. No matter how I try I just can't overcome that time/space continuum thing.

Next up! Off the table but on the beach!

As it happens, April 28 (A26)is a day of protest to demand impeachment, and some folks here are putting on their very own Beach Impeach at Torrey Pines State Beach. Gather near lifeguard tower #6 at 2:00 pm, to join in spelling out impeach on the beach.
