San Diego has a new Registrar of Voters. Yikes.

She used to be a salesperson for Diebold, but now she's our Registrar.

Those of you who live in or near Solano County, might already know Deborah Seiler.

So...San Diego now has Deborah Seiler, a former Diebold salesperson, as Registrar of Voters, and Michael Vu of Cuyahoga County, Ohio as assistant Registrar.

We're so screwed.

I find it quite worrisome that in light of the serious questions about electronic voting, and all the problems nationwide, that San Diego would dig in their heels and hire two people who appear deeply invested in using electronic voting equipment.

I don't have faith in private companies counting my vote. I don't have faith in the equipment. I don't even have faith that if I vote on paper or as absentee, they will bother to count it.

To me, that's the big picture problem. As people lose faith that their vote counts, we really are screwed. That's like pulling the foundation out from under the house.
